AA Summer School and AA Sessions, June–July 2020

Applications are now open for AA Summer School and Summer Sessions. The AA Summer School is a full-time, three-week course of design studios, field trips, seminars, lectures and parties that take over the AA and offers participants the opportunity to experience a diverse selection of teaching agendas and design techniques. For those already engaged within the field of architecture, AA Sessions form an intense and experimental laboratory that focuses on pressing contemporary issues and attempts to work both outside of and against established pedagogical formats. UK Schools

June–September 2020
Applications are now open for a broad range of short courses running in Bedford Square and Hooke Park throughout the summer, in addition to a semester-long study programme during the autumn and spring terms. Renowned practitioners, theoreticians, historians and designers stimulate new forms of teaching and innovation in creative minds of all ages and backgrounds. Find out more and apply

Visiting Schools

<strong>Visiting Schools</strong>

June–December 2020
The AA Visiting School is a worldwide network of short courses and workshops that are open to all students, recent graduates, architects and other creative individuals. Courses and workshops are built around agenda-driven project briefs that are pursued and shaped by students working intensively in small groups led by AA tutors in a large range of countries around the world, such as Guatemala, Russia, Jordan and many more. Little Architect

Through a series of workshops and events worldwide, Little Architect creatively engages children in questioning the built environment around them at an early age. The programme aims to provide children worldwide with the opportunity to learn about the role of architecture and be introduced to important topics relating to contemporary design culture within a stimulating educational environment. Notices

Covid-19 School Policy

There have not been any cases of Covid-19 among the school community. The school buildings will remain open until Friday 20 March, with options being developed for online teaching next week. The AA will close for Easter end of day Friday 20 March. More information

Postcard

Students from all years of the school have been presenting their work this week and next week at preview tables, an opportunity for them to get feedback on their projects from a variety of tutors before the Easter Break.
