Imaging the Earth Today, Earth Drawings panel discussion, Wednesday 20 May, 6pm BST, Zoom

Following the launch of the Earth Drawings Virtual Gallery, which saw an array of submissions from all parts of the AA global community, a panel discussion will be held on Wednesday 20 May to discuss drawing as a medium today. Invited panellists include: architect, artist and AA Tutor Pol Esteve; designers of the virtual Earth Gallery, AA Tutors and founders of Space Popular Fredrik Hellberg and Lara Lesmes; AA Council member and architect Sam Jacob; architect and AA Tutor David Kohn; artist and founding member of the Office for Metropolitan Architecture Madelon Koolhaas-Vriesendorp; and AA Alumna Marie-Louise Raue and architect Paul Francis Feeney; all of whom have a drawing included in the exhibition. Geoffrey Salmon (1925-2020)

The AA is deeply saddened to learn of the death of AA alumnus and former Council member Geoffrey Salmon. Geoffrey graduated in 1952 and designed highly influential commercial offices and sheltered housing for the elderly. He kindly donated his student work to the AA Archive in 2010, recording an oral history of his practice with two students. Read more
